Kiwanaru is a site for people curious about Korea — its ideas, its traditions, and the frameworks Koreans use to understand themselves and each other.

We started with Saju (사주팔자), Korea's four-pillars reading system, because it's one of the most interesting and least-understood parts of Korean culture in the English-speaking world. Saju has been in continuous use for over 1,500 years. It describes personality through the energetic configuration of your birth moment — not prediction, but pattern recognition at a deep level.

Our goal is to make this material accessible: accurate enough to be genuinely useful, plain enough that you don't need a background in Korean history or classical Chinese philosophy to understand it.

The readings on this site are simplified. We use your entered date and time without timezone or birthplace conversion; a more precise reading would account for those. We note this in every reading.
